Hi, I'm Shannon- a Learning Architect who is just as comfortable running the sprint as building the course inside it. I've spent eight years in the gap between what the research says about how adults learn and what L&D practice actually looks like- and I've held both the individual-contributor seat and the seat at the head of the table. I've built a 40,000-employee technical onboarding program by hand, and I've run the agile team, backlog, and roadmap for a 10,000-user learning platform as its product manager. I don't pick a lane between hands-on design and program leadership- I use both, on purpose.
I specialize in ADDIE methodology, adult learning theory, and blended learning design, with 50+ eLearning courses built in Articulate 360 and a career total spanning technical onboarding, sales enablement, certification programs, and accessibility-first curricula. I'm also a deliberate early adopter of AI across the design lifecycle- from AI-assisted content development and AI-informed learner pathways to teaching AI literacy directly to the learners I serve.
What sets me apart is my commitment to inclusive design and my instinct to lead when leading is what the work needs. I've built training for learners with visual, hearing, physical, and cognitive differences, partnered directly with the Texas Workforce Commission to shape workforce programs, and led an LMS migration end to end. Accessibility and ownership are both baked in from day one, not bolted on later.
